DFK recently organized and facilitated capacity building training for its board members, management team, and partner local community based organizations, school committees, farmer’s representatives and local authorities. The training was 75% practical and 25% theory on small- scale agricultural innovations in dry range land cattle corridor, South Western Agro Ecological Zone. The training focused mainly on community participation and decision making, project management, institutional development and sustainability.
Participants were interested in designing gardens, water harvesting techniques, on farm milk value addition, energy saving stoves, recycling of plastics and degradable materials.
